With 6:02 left in Tuesday’s game vs. Norfolk, Weinrich exchanged words Karl Stewart, which resulted in both dropping the gloves. After the scrum, Weinrich didn’t appear to be cut or in any pain or discomfort, but he taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

When asked if it was a possible fracture, the Pirates would only say that he’s currently listed as day-to-day with a facial injury.

Weinrich was not at practice today. He isn’t expected to take part in games this weekend against Lowell, Springfield and Hartford.

J.S. Aubin has been assigned to the Pirates by the Anaheim Ducks, but wasn’t at practice today.

No time frame on his arrival.

Brendan Mikkelson has been taking part in practice with no contact. He suffered a wrist injury back on February 6 in Hershey, PA. He’s listed as day-to-day, and a return could happen as soon as this weekend.
