- Updated: March 3, 2015
Bowdoin College senior John McGinnis has been named Second Team All-NESCAC in selections announced by the league on Tuesday.
McGinnis closes out one of the most storied careers in recent Bowdoin men’s hockey history, posting another solid campaign as a senior in 2014-15, recording nine goals, 15 assists to tie for the team lead with 24 points. He also had two power play, two shorthanded and two game-winning goals this winter.
Over 104 career games, McGinnis scored 41 goals and had 73 assists.
Earlier this season he became the 37th member of Bowdoin’s 100-point club and his 114 career points stand in a tie for 21st all-time at the school. Also the 2012 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, he helped lead the Polar Bears to a pair of conference titles (2013 and ’14), scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime to defeat Amherst for the crown in 2014.
