Lagace assigned to Greenville
- Updated: January 14, 2011
Forward Jacob Lagace has been assigned to the Greenville (S.C.) Road Warriors of the ECHL by the Portland Pirates.
Lagace has played in 29 games with the Pirates this season, scoring two goals, eight assists for 10 points.
The move was made because forwards Mark Parrish and Igor Gongalsky are close to returning to the lineup from injury and TJ Brennan taking to the role of forward – 1G, 2A – in three games.
The Lagace assignment also bodes well for Justin Bowers, who has a point in four of his last five games with the Pirates since being recalled from Greenville for a second time on Dec. 30.
