Wilson Inks Tryout Agreement with Manchester Monarchs of AHL

Former University of Maine goalie Dave Wilson (Caledon East, Ontario) has agreed to a amateur tryout agreement with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

Wilson played in 13 games for the Black Bears during his senior season and finished 3-5-0 with a 2.66 goals against average and a .888 save percentage. He was a big reason behind Maine’s run to the 2010 Hockey East Title game which the Black Bears dropped in overtime to Boston College.

Wilson won three games in the 2010 Hockey East Tournament, including recording a shutout against UMass Lowell in the second game of the quarterfinals. He was Maine’s goalie of record in each of the last six games of the season.

Wilson will earn number 46 for the Monarchs. The Monarchs return to action on Friday, April 2 when they host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:30 p.m.
