Dineen suspension announced

The American Hockey League has handed down their suspension to Portland Pirates head coach Kevin Dineen announcing that they have suspended him for one game due to his actions following the game on Mar. 6 in Syracuse, NY.

Dineen ran on to the ice to vigorously protest referee Chris Cozzan’s decision of a no-goal, after the Pirates felt they scored with seconds remaining on the clock.

Dineen has already missed the Pirates’ game back on Mar. 7 against Rochester at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY, and is now eligible to return for the Pirates next game, which is Friday at home against the Manchester Monarchs.
