Enroth recalled to Buffalo; Lalime sent to Portland for conditioning
- Updated: December 3, 2009
A day after posting his first shutout of the season, Portland Pirates’ netminder Jhonas Enroth is heading the Buffalo Sabres for the weekend, Patrick Lalime agreed to join the Pirates on a reconditioning stint.
Enroth has played very well as of late, winning his last three games, stopping 93 of 96 shots with a 1.00 GAA and a .969 save percentage.
This is Enroth’s second recall to Buffalo this season. He was last recalled back on Nov. 4 when he replaced Lalime, who suffered a groin injury.
Lalime will be joining the Pirates on a conditioning assignment, playing games on Friday and Saturday, both games against the Providence Bruins.
Lalime, 35, has only played in three games this season for the Sabres, with his last game coming back on Nov. 21. He’s 0-2-0 with a 4.55 GAA and a .836 GAA.
