Getting prepared for Union

There was no further comment on Thursday on the suspensions to Scott Darling and Ryan Hegarty. For those who haven’t heard, both will miss this weekend’s series against the Union Dutchmen due to violating the school’s student-athlete code of conduct. Hegarty will also miss the home opener against Michigan State next Friday night.

New Day, New Line Combinations

The team held its third practice in three days. The team did some 3 on 2 drills. Tanner House didn’t participate in the practice. He was walking around with a noticeable limp. The lines were jumbled up again.

The blue line consisted of Gustav Nyquist-Matt Mangene-Joey Diamond. The defensive pairing stayed the same Will O’Neil and Jeff Dimmen.

The black line stayed the same with Spencer Abbott-Brian Flynn-Robby Dee. The defense pairing was Josh Van Dyk and Mike Cornell.

The white line had no real changes. Kyle Solomon-David de Kastrozza-Brett Carriere. Mike Banwell and Mark Nemec.

The gray line had the addition of Adam Shemansky and Klas Leidermark. Also on the line were Kyle Beattie, Ryan Hegarty, and Nick Pryor.

Theo Andersson and walk-on Val Poticny were both wearing red shirts.

Scott Darling and Ryan Hegarty both left halfway through the practice. Shawn Sirman and Dave Wilson saw most of the action when all three of the goalies were on the ice.
