Lewiston trades for Samuel Grenache

The Lewiston Maineiacs have traded for Samuel Grenache, a 20-year old, who played for the Montreal Junior last season. Last year, he had six goals and two assists in 18 games. The Maineiacs will send either a third round round pick in 2011 or a 2010 fourth round pick to Montreal pending the outcome of a couple other deals that Lewiston is working on.

The team isn’t necessarily done.

“We are working on a couple (more deals),” said Shannon.

The team has also cut four players from their roster tonight. They have released Marc-Antoine Rousseau, Luke Dillman, Alex Lepine, and Jared Hicks.

“All four will be affiliated players and will stay with the organization,” Shannon said. “They will be available to us anytime.”

The team has 31 players in camp, excluding Grenache. They have 18 forwards, nine defenseman, and four goaltenders.
