Lewiston, ME- The Lewiston MAINEiacs Hockey Club is pleased to announce the addition of Tim Schurman to the scouting staff. Schurman will take on the role of Advance Scout.

“I am very excited to bring someone of Tim’s caliber to our staff, he is enthusiastic and sees a lot of hockey at every level.” said Roger Shannon, MAINEiacs General Manager. “Tim’s NHL experience will greatly benefit our staff.”

Schurman has spent the past two years as a scout for the New York Islanders covering the QMJHL and the Atlantic CIS Hockey Conference. He will continue his role with the Islanders while working for the MAINEiacs.

“I am really looking forward to this opportunity as I have heard nothing but great things about the city of Lewiston and I look forward to doing my part in bringing future championships back to Lewiston.” said Schurman in the team’s press release. “The future is very bright for this franchise and I am excited to be a part of it.”

A native of Summerside, Tim graduated from Saint Thomas University in Fredericton and also works as a social worker with the government of New Brunswick. His father Bill is the general manager of the Moncton Wildcats.
