Maineiacs restructure the Front Office

Lewiston, ME – Lewiston MAINEiacs Majority Owner & CEO Mark Just is pleased to announce the reconstruction of the front office. Don MacAdam (President & Head Coach), Rob Mainville (Director of Corporate Partnerships) and Alex Reed (Director of Broadcasting/Media Relations & Group Sales) join the front office, while Roger Shannon has been named General Manager and Garrett Mason will assume the role as the Director of Administration & Community Relations.

Don MacAdam enters his first season as the team’s President. He will oversee the entire operation of the organization. MacAdam will continue his head coaching duties, a position he took over in January. He brings a wealth of administrative experience to the MAINEiacs front office, having held similar positions with the Dayton Bombers and Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL.

Rob Mainville returns to the MAINEiacs in a similar role he held for four seasons from 2003-2007. Mainville will handle all corporate sales and marketing partnerships for the team. He earned a B.A. from the University of Maine in 1991, and was a member of the MAINEiacs front office during the 2006-07 championship season.

Alex Reed joins the front office after spending the past two seasons as the MAINEiacs radio broadcaster. He will continue to handle the radio broadcasts for all regular season and playoff games. In addition, he will serve as the team’s liaison to all media outlets, and will head the group ticket sales department. Reed is a 2005 graduate of Marshall University, where he also earned Master’s Degree in Public Relations in 2007.

Garrett Mason takes on an administrative position with the team after spending the past two seasons as Public Relations Manager. His responsibilities will include overseeing the team’s budget, directing the front office staff, and handling all community events associated with the team. A native of Lisbon Falls, Garrett graduated in 2006 from Pensacola Christian College with a degree in Management and Marketing. Garrett began his career in sports with the Portland Sea Dogs in January 2007.

Roger Shannon will have an expanded role with the club after spending the past two years as the team’s Head Scout. Shannon will be responsible for all player personnel transactions, including trades, drafting decisions, and scouting talent. He is also General Manager of the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton hockey program, and played a key role in the university landing the bid to host the Canadian Interuniversity (CIS) Men’s Hockey Championships in 2011 and 2012.
