Pirates back to five defensemen
- Updated: March 10, 2009
Portland, ME – It was a standard morning skate for the Portland Pirates as they get ready to take on the Binghamton Senators tonight at the CCCC, with the exception that defenseman Matt Macdonald wasn’t on the ice.
Pirates’ head coach Kevin Dineen said that he would be out for an extended period of time as a result of a lower body injury, which will leave the Pirates down to five defensemen.
Dineen said that he would have no choice, but to play five defensemen tonight, but will look at his options tomorrow after the AHL Clear Day roster is released at 3pm.
