Lewiston wins it in a shootout

Gatineau, QC- The Lewiston Maineiacs began their three game road trip in three days on the right foot. They defeated the Gatineau Olympiques 2-1 in a shootout.
Pier-Olivier Morin scored in the first period at the 8:49 mark of the first stanza. Denis Reul and Alexander Beaton assisted on the goal.
Adrien Lemay made 40 saves in the victory. Maxime Clermont turned aside 21 saves.
Vincent Barnard got his first of the season at the 12:08 marker of the third. Alain Goulet and Josh McQuade got the assists.
Billy Lacasse got the game winning shootout marker. Filip Janosik also scored. Maxime Gratchev missed on his chance. Alexandre Quesnel scored for the Olympiques. Paul Byron and Goulet missed on their opportunities.
