Lewiston falls to Val d’Or

Val d’Or, QC- The Lewiston Maineiacs dropped their second game in a row on Wednesday night in the 4-1 loss to the Val d’Or Foreurs.
Kevin Guérette-Charland had two goals in the victory for the Foreurs. Matthew Lachaine and Derek Famulare each added a goal. Raffaele D’Orso made 17 saves.
Eric Gelinas got his tenth goal of the season. Adrien Lemay made 35 saves.
Keven Guérette-Charland got the scoring started at the 8:14 mark of the first period. Lachaine and Sasha Famin got the helpers.
Lachaine would get eventual game winner with 1:37 left in the second period. Shawn Morton-Boutin got the lone assist on the shorthanded goal.
Charland added his second tally at the 4:50 mark of the third stanza. Lachaine picked up his second assist of the contest. Derek Famulare would notch his tenth of the season on the powerplay 8:07 into the third. Christian Morin and Alexi Pianosi picked up the assists.
Éric Gélinas would get his own powerplay goal with 4:25 remaining. Patrick Cusack got the lone assist.
Notes: Jonathan Connelly was called back up and served the back up for tonight’s game.
