Clarke gets 12 games

BOUCHERVILLE, QC– The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect today announced that defenseman Garrett Clarke of the Lewiston MAINEiacs has been suspended twelve games for cross-checking an opponent on the head during last Friday’s game against the Victoriaville Tigres.
Moreover, the Disciplinary Prefect suspended Victoriaville Tigres defenseman Pierre-Luc Pelletier five games for a hit from behind which occurred in last Saturday’s contest versus the Lewiston MAINEiacs.
The decisions were rendered after reviewing the videotapes of the incidents and after consulting all concerned parties.
In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the Disciplinary Prefect will not be available for further comment.
