Colby holds on to tie Tufts U.

MEDFORD, Mass. — Eric Simmons scored with 6:28 to play in regulation to lift the Colby College men’s hockey team to a 3-3 tie with Tufts University on Friday night.
The Mules had a 42-30 shot advantage in the game and the two teams combined for 28 penalties and 96 penalty minutes.
Colby (4-8-2) went up 2-0 with goals in the first five minutes of periods. Billy Crinnion scored from Michael Belliveau and Jeoff Jarnot at 4:07 of the first period. Matt Strickland then tallied from Belliveau and Matt Ahern just 1:07 into the second period.
Tufts (6-7-1) received goals from Nick Resor at 5:07 and Evan Story at 12:08 to tie the game at 2-2 after two periods.
The Jumbos went up 3-2 when Dylan Cooper tallied at 6:56 of the third period. Simmons got his goal off passes from Wil Hartigan and Patrick Bursee at 13:32.
Dean Feole made 27 saves in goal for Colby, while Scott Barchard stopped 39 shots.
