PORTLAND, ME (LGS) — The Portland Pirates will reach the halfway point this weekend when they travel to Providence, Rhode Island to take on the rival Bruins.
When the season began, there were many uncertainties about the Buffalo Sabres organization when they came to town. After all, they had just spent 29 years with the Rochester Americans and they weren’t leaving that city on the best of terms as the Americans had just gone through that franchise worst season in recent memory – maybe in franchise history.
