MacAdam is 1-0

Rouyn-Noranda, QC– Don MacAdam appeared behind the Lewiston Maineiacs bench for the first time and guided his team to a 4-3 victory over the Rouyn-Noranada Huskies.

Maxime Gratchev led the way with a hat trick. Pierre-Olivier Morin potted his tenth of season. Peter Delmas made 31 saves in the victory.

Jeff Desjardins had two goals for the Huskies. Pier- Luc Giguère had a goal and an assist. Mickael Audette made 21 stopss in the loss.

Desjardins gave the Huskies the lead at the 6:02 mark. (Pier-Luc Giguère and Christophe Losier set the goal up. Giguère would get a shorthanded goal with 2:01 left in the first.

Gratchev would get the Maineiacs on the board at the 11:09 mark of the second. Patrick Cusack and Billy Lacasse got the assists. Rouyn-Noranda would make a statement at the end of the stanza.

With two seconds left, Jeff Desjardins got his 13th of the season on the powerplay. Sergey Ostapchuk and Jérôme Gauthier-Leduc got the assists. Danick Paquette was in the sin bin.

Pierre-Olivier Morin got Lewiston back within one 2:32 in the third. It was an unassisted tally. Maxime Gratchev would respond on the powerplay 8:32 in the third. Paquette got the lone helper. Benoit Gervais was serving the minor.

Gratchev tallied with game winner with 9:26 left. It was an unassisted effort.
