Maine falls to another Hockey East opponent

Boston, Mass– The Maine Black Bears continued the Hockey East schedule against the Boston Unversity on Saturday night. The Black Bears fall to 5-6-1 in league play after the 4-1 loss to Boston University.

Robby Dee got the Black Bears lone goal. Scott Darling made 22 saves in the loss.

Freshman Chris Connolly had two goals for the Terriers. Chris Higgins and Brandon Yip also added a tally in the victory. Kieran Millan made 15 saves to pick up his 10th victory in his freshman campaign.

Chris Connolly got the scoring started at the 8:50 mark. Fellow freshman Corey Trivino and junior Brian Strait picked up the assists. Robby Dee would tie the game with 1:49 remaining. Chris Hahn and Kevin Swallow picked up the assists. It was a powerplay tally.

The dagger would come with one second left in the period when Chris Higgins lit the lamp. Jason Lawrence got the assist.

Connolly got the only goal in the second period when he made it 3-1 with 67 seconds left. Kevin Shattenkirk, who just returned to the team after spending the holidays with the United States World Junior team got the assist. Matt Gilroy got the secondary helper.

Brandon Yip would get the fourth goal at the ten minute mark. John McCarthy and Luke Popko set the goal up.
