Jr. B’s Dominate

It was a big weekend for the Portland Junior Pirates B squad. On Saturday, they defeated the Binghamton Jr. Senators 7-2. Nick Reny and William Strabley each had a two goals and an assist. Evan Schultz and Elias Wissman each had a goal and two assists. Shawn Hird tallied a goal and four assists. Deven Alves added two assists. Paddy Murphy and Mike St. Denis each had an assist. Dylan Strogen made 26 saves

On Sunday, it was 11-3 thumping of the Senators. Evan Schultz had two goals and three assists. Ethan MacDonald and Elias Wissman each potted two goals. Paddy Murphy and Nick Reny each added a goal and a helper. Mike St. Denis lit the lamp and set a goal up twice. Patrick Webster and Shawn Hird added a goal.

Michael Herlihy donated to the Salvation Army three times. Marc Ouimet put two points in the assist column. Deven Alves, Cameron Cain, and Sean Oddy got on the score sheet with an assist. Dylan Strogen made 13 saves and Jay Finch turned away 14 shots.

Monarchs defeat South Shore

The New Hampshire Junior Monarchs defeated the South Shore Kings on Saturday 4-2. Adam Shemansky was the only Maine recruit to record a point. He had two assists. Brian Dumoulin didn’t find the score sheet and Brian Billet was the back up. In his previous start on Thursday, he allowed three goals on 30 shots. The Junior Bruins defeated the Junior Monarchs 4-1. Shemansky added an assist in that contest.

Maine recruits update

Derek Arnold had two goals for Waterloo in the 10-3 victory over the Indiana Ice. Johnnie Searfoss added an assist for the Fargo Force in the 4-1 victory. Carlos Amestoy returned to the ice for the Toronto Junior Canadiens on Saturday. He missed the last two games. Darcy Ashley added an assist against the St. John Vitos on Saturday.
