Lewiston battles the Telus East’s best

It’s a big week for the Lewiston Maineiacs. They finish their two game road trip against the Rimouski Oceanic on Tuesday (7:30pm). This weekend they play two homes games against the Quebec Remparts at the Cumberland County Civic Center on Friday and Saturday at 7pm. ESPN Radio 870 and 1470am has the call for each game. The Memorial Cup hosts have struggled with the injury bug. At one point they were missing eight players. Edmonton Oilers draft pick, Philippe Cornet, leads the way with 9 goals and 20 assists. Import rookie, Luca Cunti, has 7 goals and 14 assists in 26 games. Felix Lefrancois also has 21 points but with ten goals. Patrice Cormier has 11 goals and 9 assists in 23 games.

Former Maineiac, Sebastien Piche has 10 goals and 13 assists in 26 games. That’s second on the team in terms of points. Gleason Fournier has 19 assists. Alexandre Neron has 2 goals and 16 assists. Emmanuel Boudreau has three goals and 11 assists.

In net, Maxim Gougeon has a 15-6 record with a 2.80 goals against average and .888 save percentage. Tommy Perreault has played in seven games. He has a 4-2 record with a 3.76 goals against average and a .857 saver percentage.

Buffalo Sabres prospect, Benjamin Breault, leads the team with 16 goals and 18 assists. Rookie Dmitri Kugryshev has 15 goals and 11 assists. He’s a Washington Capitals draft pick. Mikhail Stefanovich has 11 goals and 15 assists. Kelsey Tessier an Avalanche prospect has 7 goals and 18 assist. Jean-Simon Allard another Sabres draftee has 8 goals and 14 assists.

Former Maineiac, Kevin Marshall, has five goals and eight assists. Samuel Groulx has ten assists to lead the blue line crew. Guillaume Monast has two goals and seven assists and Mikael Tam has three goals and a total of nine points.

The two goalies have identical goals against average with a 2.54gaa. They almost have similar save percentages. Charles Lavigne has a .913 saves percentage and Jonathan Roy has a .911 save percentage. Lavigne has a 13-4-2 record and Roy has a 7-2 record.

Maxime Gratchev has 20 points in his last eight games. He played for the Remparts and the Oceanic. His season totals are 11 goals and 17 assists in 26 games. Danick Paquette and Alexander Beaton each have 20 points, Paquette has 12 goals and Beaton has 9 goals. Billy Lacasse and Marc Bourgeois each have 18 points, Lacasse has 11 goals and Bourgeois has ten goals.

Eric Gelinas has filled Kevin Marshall’s shoes nicely. He has six goals and 13 assists in 29 contests. Michael Ward is heating up with 3 goals and 12 assists. Patrick Cusack has a goal and an 11 assists.

Peter Delmas has a 5-13 record with a 4.80 goals against average and a .842 save percentage. Phillip Wright has a 4-2 record with a 3.13 goals against save and a .874 save percentage. Jonathan Connelly has a 2-3 record with a 4.62 goals against average and a .810 save percentage.
