Buffalo to host the World Junior Championships

The Portland Pirates’ parent club, the Buffalo Sabres, have been awarded the 2011 World Junior Championships. The tournament will be held from December 26th, 2010 to January 5th, 2011 at the HSBC Arena and at Dwyer Arena (Niagara University) in Lewiston, New York.
24 players in the Sabres organization have participated in the World Junior Championships including 7 players currently on the Portland Pirates roster. They are:
