Former Devils GM Passes Away

Max McNab, father of Ducks Assistant GM Dave McNab, passed away Sunday at the age of 83.

McNab is best known for being the GM of the NJ Devils from 1983 to 1987 before being replaced by Lou Lamoriello. McNab stayed on as a team executive until he retired in 1994.

McNab was instrumental is drafting several players who help turn the Devils around in the late 80’s. Players such as Kirk Muller, Eric Weinrich, Chris Terreri and Sean Burke.

My deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers go out to the McNab family.
